Fall Fashion Must-Haves

I love Fall clothes.  Although I prefer warm weather, in terms of fashion, Fall always wins.  There's so many layers and patterns and rich colors and coziness. Here's just a few of my Fall favorites.

Combat Boots Conflict

I'm really digging the combat boots trend lately.  I love the way they can give a simple, casual outfit an edgier look.  I find myself gawking at them everywhere.

As much as I want a pair for myself, I'm not sure if I would wear them enough to justify buying them.  So I think a good way to ease into this would be with a more inexpensive pair to give myself a bit of a test drive.   These Wild Diva Tina boots from Urbanog would be a great start!  At only $28.90, I would definitely get my moneys worth out of these!

This fun and classy chevron printed shift dress from Sosie.  It would look gorgeous on its own or paired with some tall boots.  Or belted.  Or with some bright colored tights.  So many different ways to wear it!

Flannel with a Twist

I have a great red flannel shirt that I adore.  It is typically reserved as my traveling outfit.  Whenever I'm going a long car ride, I will throw on my flannel with a pair of jeggings for ultimate comfort.  I've never looked at my flannel shirt as a cute and girly shirt.  That is until I came across this photo from Candy Kawaii Lover.  Can you believe how feminine and adorable she makes her brother's flannel shirt look?? I am totally inspired!

I was running some errands after work last night and happened to walk by Ann Taylor.  I actually stopped in my tracks because I was so taken with their new collection displayed in the windows.  There was an overall theme in their new collection - a gorgeous, deep, royal blue.  This rich jewel tone would look striking on just about anyone and is perfect for the upcoming cold season.  So gorgeous!

New H&M Collection

Have you read The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo books yet?? I highly recommend them if you haven't.  Incredibly exciting and suspenseful- I flew right through all three!  (The Swedish versions of the movies are amazing too!) With the release of the American version of the first movie just around the corner, H&M has announced they are coming out with an exclusive fashion line inspired by the quirky yet cool Lisbeth Salander from the books.  It definitely has her dark, edgy feel about it -I'm not sure if I'm cool enough to pull this look off, but I'm excited to check it out!

Madewell in the Midwest?!

I don't know how I didn't hear about this before, but Madewell just opened a store in Old Orchard Mall last week just outside Chicago!  I'm a little jealous we didn't get one in the city first, but it sounds like plan on opening one here in 2012.  I can't wait!  I've admired their stuff online for quite some time now, and it will be great to finally be able to see it in person and try it on!

I Heart Hearts

And I really heart this blouse with heart trim!  It is playful yet professional enough to wear to work.  Wouldn't you feel so adorable and girly wearing this with a black pencil skirt and some bright red heels?!

This NY Collection dress from Macy's.  I just love the breezy feeling and the bold teal color!  It would be so great in the Spring time, and pair it with some tights and boots, and bam! you have a perfect Fall outfit!  I found this gorgeous dress via College Fashion this week.  (note: she paired it with leopard flats - the mix of print and color is so fun!)

Fall Boots

Have you ever heard of the online store URBANOG?!  I stumbled across it recently and I cannot believe how cheap their boots are!  They have a huge selection of perfect Fall boots and the majority of them are under $50!  I probably don't need yet another pair of boots this season, but how can I resist these?

Chambray

Now that Fall weather is finally kicking in, I'm craving a chambray shirt now more than ever.  I've seen some adorable outfits involving these denim button-downs lately and now I have to have one for myself.  Of course the most coveted of the chambray shirt is the J Crew version, but I've managed to find a few good substitutes in my search.

So Lush!

My best friend and I hit up the Lush counter at Macy's the other day, because she heard they made some sort of body deodorant (seriously, this stuff was awesome!), and she wanted to check it out.  It turned out to be an incredibly eye-opening experience for both of us.  I've always known Lush made all kinds of gorgeous smelling (and looking!) soaps and bathbombs, but they showed us a ton of other products I'd never seen before that I just fell in love with.  And the best part was, they are all totally affordable!

First of all, did you know solid lotion existed?  I had never heard of such thing until we saw it at Lush.  After testing it out, my arms were transformed into baby-soft skin.  Not only do they have bars of lotion, they also had bronzing and shimmer bars!  They look just like bars of soap, and you simply rub them on your skin to get either a bronzed look, or just a light shimmer...brilliant!

Then we found the massage bars, which are made to rub on sore muscles.  The Wiccy Magic was by far my fave.  It was sort of like a solid Icy Hot!

Finally, we tried the Honey Trap Lip Balm which I'm kicking myself for not buying on the spot.  My lips were so soft for so long after I tried this (We also did the bubblegum sugar lip scrub....yum!).
